Thanks for your interest in submitting your event. Our program team handpicks the events that appear on our calendar. We receive many submissions each week. Please send us your submission at least two weeks in advance of your event whenever possible. We will notify you if your event is published. Is your event right for NPN? If you answer “yes” to these three questions you can submit your event for review. Is your event in the city of Chicago? Is your event designed for families? Is your event unique and something that you don't typically offer? Free family events and play dates are given more favor by our team. We do not post events that focus solely on selling a product or service. We do not post open houses on our calendar.* Incomplete submissions will not be considered. NPN is an inclusive organization and all events must be inclusive of families from all cultures and backgrounds, for example but not limited to the LGBTQ community and children and parents with developmental differences. Presenters Pamela Epley, PhD, and Jena Valdez, MS, Adjunct Professor, both of the Erikson Institute, offer practical guidance and strategies you can use to support social interactions, learning and development for young children with developmental differences during Covid-19. They will also cover the roles and responsibilities of the U.S. Office of Special Education Programs in supporting students with IEPs during remote and hybrid learning. -

At our training sessions you can hear laughter and words of encouragement while children are trying to mimic the moves of their coaches. We offer a curriculum focused on the basic FUNdamentals of soccer. Our staff of US Soccer Federation nationally certified coaches ensures that each student receives technical and tactical instructions in a positive environment. We foster a culture that encourages commitment, leadership, sportsmanship and resolve. This program assumes no prior soccer experience or skill level. We focus our training on foot-skills and ball control, SAQ (speed, agility and quickness), small sided games and finishing. -
This session is for anyone who wants to learn when to start the preschool search, what to look for in a preschool, the various types of preschools available, how to determine "school fit" for a 2-year-old, when you should think about making a change, the difference between public and private preK, Chicago's universal preK initiative, and how to best prepare your child for preschool. This webinar is for parents of students entering Chicago Public Schools in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. Parents might receive multiple offers, one offer, no offers or wait list numbers for their child. You'll learn how to understand the notifications that you have received and how to handle multiple offers and wait lists. Because of the pandemic, parents are unable to tour schools or meet face-to-face with principals and current school families—typical strategies that parents use to get a "feel" of a school and make a decision. While the impact of COVID-19 is still playing out, alternative ways to get a sense of a school before making a decision are discussed.
